Remembering a beautiful fall wedding…

Last October I had the honor of making a wedding cake for one of the nicest couples I have ever met!

They wanted something a little different and fun and this is what we came up with…

Cupcakes!

To give their guests the ultimate variety, the bride and groom chose four different flavors for the cupcakes.  All were iced with Vanilla Buttercream the was colored to match the beautiful wedding colors.

Keeping with southern tradition, they also had a groom’s cake.  Since the groom was almost as big of a Tennessee fan as I am a Virginia Tech fan he was very excited about his cake!

He chose his favorite flavor cake, peanut butter, for this one.

The location of the wedding was an absolutely beautiful farm that was purchased by a couple for the soul purpose of providing a rustic setting for weddings and other events.  Jeremy and Sarah Oehling have done an amazing job creating Starlight Meadow!  If you are looking for a rustic setting for your wedding you should definitely check them out!

Even though this wedding was during the weekend of Hurricane Sandy the atmosphere was true to the couple’s nature.  Fun, happy, and energetic.  Their photographer, Tina Marsh Photography, did a great job capturing the day!

A note to Chelsea and Trevor:

I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Oh, and since I saw from your photos that you cut into that top tier, I’ll be hearing from you on your 1st anniversary!
